Install the Duo Mobile App

This document provides instructions for downloading and installing the Duo Mobile app on your mobile device. Individuals in UMHS who use university-managed devices and need to complete two-factor authentication to log in to UMHS-specific services, including MiChart for Electronic Prescription of Controlled Substances (EPCS), will follow different documentation.

Before You Begin

  • Duo Mobile is a free app.
  • You may need your password for your device’s app store to download Duo Mobile. Make sure you know your password before you begin.
  • Duo Mobile requires approximately 32 MB of internal storage on an Android device and less than 10 MB on an iPhone.
  • Duo Mobile permissions require access to send you notifications and to your device’s camera. The camera access is only used to scan a code as part of the activation process.
