VPN: Download the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad VPN Client and U-M Profile

Download the VPN Client

Important: These instructions will only work with the Safari web browser on the iOS device.

1. Launch Safari on the iOS device and navigate to the ITS Comm VPN page or to these instructions.
2. Select the appropriate client based on your university role.
   • Staff, Faculty, Students, or Sponsored Affiliates
     iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch Client
   • Alumni or Retirees
     iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch Client
3. Follow the program prompts, including User Name and Password.

Connect to the VPN

Important: You must have a network connection to connect via the VPN.

1. Select Settings - VPN.
2. Select VPN Connection to turn on the VPN.

   Note: You will see the VPN icon appear in the status bar at the top of the page.
